Still waiting……………
Yes, here I am, five days PAST the little princess’ due date. I can’t believe she is already pulling this princess attitude. Serves me right. I can see that she is already following in my footsteps, wanting things her way without the care or concern for other people. It is true. I used to be more selfish. Don’t worry people, she has hope. I do finally believe the world doesn’t revolve around me. It was hard to grasp, but I now know the truth.
I was really hoping that my next blog post would be pictures of the baby, but oh well. Instead, you get to hear what I have been up to for the last couple weeks.
1. I have something called sciatica. This is where I have an awful pain in my sciatic nerve that makes it near impossible to walk even to the bathroom. This is not a fun thing to have when one uses the restroom at least five times a night and the only mode of transportation we have is our feet. Metro yes, but you have to walk up and down lots of stairs and walk walk walk to get from metro to metro.
2. Movies. We started renting movies from the little shop down the street. Justin rents them for me. Such a nice guy.
3. Reading. I am sick of reading though. I will admit it. I read some great books, including a great novel by Mary DeMuth called "Wishing on Dandelions," and "Two Weeks With My Brother" by Nicholas Sparks and Micah Sparks. Both GREAT books!
4. Knitting. I have taken up knitting once again. I was so sick of reading and watching movies that one day I explained to Justin that I will go crazy if he doesn’t help me think of something to do. He suggested knitting. I have been knitting ever since. Not booties. I finished a scarf and started on a new one for Justin.
So here I am, sitting in my apartment, WAITING. I hate waiting. This is like a cruel joke. I hate surprises. I don’t like not knowing when she will come! PRAY SHE COMES SOON! Yesterday we told her it was her birthday, but she didn’t agree. Punk.
I have a lot to do people. I can’t write forever. I have scarves to knit, books to read, and movies to watch. Hopefully my next post will be about breast feeding and changing diapers. That will give me something new to do! Oops. I just realized it still is all about me. Like mother like daughter!
Hmmmmm….will she have your sense of humor, spiritedness and knack for writing? She will if she is like mother/like daughter! Can’t wait for little princess to make her grand debut!

Hang in there, sweet bursting girl! May that little peanut come OUT soon. I remember those days of waiting.
Oh and thanks for the mention of my book. YOu ROCK!
can’t wait to hear the good news.
Love, Mary
