Reunited with family
When my parents divorced and my dad moved away, we saw a lot less of my dad’s side of the family. Well, now that I am an adult (yes, I am) I have realized how much family means to me, even if they weren’t really there during all of my childhood. I have a new love and respect for my dad now that I am married and have my own child. My dad’s side of the family is nowhere near perfect, but what family is? I had a lot of fun at my grandma’s 80th birthday party, reuniting with family I hadn’t seen since I was a young girl!
Here are some of my favorite pics from the party:
Happy Birthday Grandma! Who ever knew she had siblings?!? I met them for the first time at her party.
Everybody’s got to have an Uncle Fred! Oh yeah!!!! He is hilarious! Crude jokes, bad humor, the works! He even bought his own little doll that is called PULL YOUR FINGER FRED. Oh yes.
Me and the cousins. I have a million cousins that I have never met (or finally did for the first time at the party), but these are the guys I remember the most and were the most excited to see. So weird that they have their own kids now!
Aunt Tina! A strong woman for being the ONLY girl with five brothers!
The cutest little brother in the world (and his cute girlfriend)!
My little sister Carley and Maisie. They love each other. Carley is not only artistic, but a super cool girl.
Daddy! (said with the Noga accent) I have seriously come to have a respect for my dad. Growing up I always saw the things he DIDN’T do, but now I can see how much he did do and does. I love him. Plus, he bought expensive, stylish glasses and put highlights in his hair. Isn’t that precious?
We had a really fun time! One of the highlights of our time in the Northwest!
hey jen! this is a great post and thanks for the picture of fred! waking up and seeing his beautiful face first thing is a real treat! man i want to frolic in his beard! love you, justin
