no rash = happy baby!

Little buddy has had clear skin for five days now!!! It’s a MIRACLE!!!! Well, it’s also a bit of expensive all natural organic toner purchased from one of my most favorite organic stores in Barcelona, called Granola. I mostly like the store for one of the owners (Laura) that works there and also the delish eggs (which I am allergic to). But they also have great organic fruit, delish corn flakes, lots of non dairy milk options, popcorn kernals, gluten free soy sauce, and lots of other delish things, including the most amazing goat’s cheese. But that’s another story. I am here to write about Cutler’s skin.

I just want to say that it is really amazing how different of a child he is when his skin is clear. Every person who has ever stayed with us since he was born (which is just about everyone we know.. not really, but it is A LOT of people) has commented on how he is either THE fussiest or ONE OF the fussiest baby’s they have ever seen. Poor little buddy was in such pain!

I’ve had to be quite psychotic with people holding him, making sure they have a burp cloth to put between his sensitive skin on his face and their clothing. It’s a pain, but it’s worth it. Even with Justin’s parents (who are here visiting) his skin broke out. They even washed all their clothes before coming here in a detergent I thought he would maybe not be allergic to! Well, it didn’t work and George can’t resist using his cologne (just kidding George) and Cutler’s little face has paid the price, even with how careful we have all been. And when Cutler’s face pays the price, we all do! Little guy doesn’t stop crying!

Soooo, thanks to my amazing friend at Granola who recommended I try this certain toner and then apply Weleda baby face cream afterward, it has cleared right up. Once I see it is getting agitated I just put the toner and then facial cream on and it soothes and calms his skin.

He has been happy and smiley and rarely crying (unless for the normal baby reasons) all the time! We even went out to eat the other night and he stayed pretty happy sitting in his stroller most of the meal (which is NOT a usual thing)! I was about to give up eating out altogether!

Just wanted to share my good news! I hope it stays like this! Happy baby equals happy mommy and happy mommy equals happy house! 🙂

Here he is a couple days ago with his nice clearing up skin! Still a little red tint, but nothing like it has been!

I am soooo glad you found something and that you can finally eat out in peace with a happy baby! You should put up a “before” picture too.

Jen, I haven’t been on your site in a while. In fact I’ve missed the last 3 new posts… so it was fun to read some of your new life material. Yes, LB (little Buddy) is looking good. I’m sorry both he and you had such a rough time, and so glad that those cute cheeks are now for smiling and no longer in pain.
