Could it really be?!?
This may not be exciting to anyone else, but I have been trying to encourage Maisie to have a “lovey” or something that she can sort of cling to and sleep with and you know, something that is sort of extra special to her. For Maisie’s birthday, my sister got her a little baby from Target and right away Maisie loved it. But she didn’t cling to it. It was definitely one of the (if not THE) favorite toy she had, Since then she has played with it more than any other toy, but I wondered if this would be the “lovey” of Maisie’s life.
Today, Maisie wouldn’t stop playing with her little baby. She pushed her around in her little stroller, fed her pretzels and shared her bottle. As I was putting Maisie to bed, she hugged her little baby (normally, she would throw anything that was in her way). Tonight she fell asleep clinging to her baby. When I went in to comfort her from waking up from her sleep, she was still clinging to the baby. I think she may have found her lovey.
Awwww this is so, so, so sweet! That doll looks exactly the same as my lovey when I was that age!
Your blog is bad for me; it makes me broody!!
such a sweet little lovey she’s chosen. yay! i get to see her soon!
wonderful! we all need our “loveys” .. I wonder what Ari’s lovey will be: she has already grown quite fond of her “greeny” mouse, but may still be waiting to pick her everlasting lovey…
YAY JEN!! I know this has been a long quest for you. I have high hopes!!!
