I am in Brussels, Belgium right now and had a very real and wonderful Belgian waffle yesterday.  It was NOTHING like the “Belgian waffles” that we have in the states.  NOTHING!!!  Only a million and a half times better!!!  YUMMMMM!!!  But they aren’t called Belgian waffles here.  Only waffles… of course.  My friend nicely corrected me on that one before I made the mistake of asking for a Belgian waffle. Thank you for friends. We are having so much fun here spending time with fellow CAI friends and also working on a big service project for the city called, Serve The CIty!  I’ll post more on that later!

Justin just read me this blog post written by a guy that spoke at our staff conference this year.  It brought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat.  Here is what he has to say on his blog. My freakishly amazing husband wrote a sweet little post on his blog that you should read. He’s back in Paris for a couple days and he talks about walking around our old neighborhood there. I just think she is so cute in so many ways. The other day we were walking somewhere in the Hague and Maisie was of course not riding in her stroller (which she hates to do), but was walking.  For no apparent reason, she walked over to a brick wall and just stood there, as if posing for a photo shoot.  It took me FOREVER to get my camera out, but I ended up getting a couple pictures of her by this brick wall before she took off running somewhere else! I am really having so much fun with her. Maisie’s always been a frowner. I’m not sure why as she seems content, but now that she is getting older, we can tell her not to frown and she relaxes her face and will smile. It’s pretty funny. She is totally into Elmo and watches the same movie over and…
