Can’t I just sleep all day? I love sleep. It all started in college when I would come home from class and my roomies (Jamie and Anna) would be taking a little nap all cozy in their beds. I was so excited to join them! That is where my love for sleep first blossomed. As I have written before, I have never liked waking up in the morning, as I am an angry waker. I will do whatever I can possibly do to just sleep for five extra minutes!!! This pregnancy has not only made me love sleep even more, but it has given me the best excuse ever to just sleep the day away. I am WAY more exhausted now, but I actually have a good excuse for why I sleep so much! "Oh sorry Justin, I really need to stay in bed for a bit longer. Did you…
Read MoreI had a rough day today. It was just one of those days where you question why you are doing what you are doing, why you are living where you are living, etc. etc. It all started in the wee hours of the morning when I was still sleeping. In my first dream, Justin asked another girl (he met in a hot tub) if she would marry him. I woke up to wake him up and tell him I did not appreciate that. I was mad at him for real, even after waking up. I went back to sleep to next dream that my teeth had rotted and were falling out. It was so stressful to figure out what dentist I would go to and also deal with the fact that I may have false teeth at the age of 27. I am an angry waker. I next woke up…
Read MoreToday was an interesting day. A nice little trip to Ikea turned into a nightmare. We did some shopping there that took about three hours. That is pretty good for Ikea, right? We made our way back home by catching the bus to the RER (train) station. It is always fun when the train is there waiting for you! So we ran to get on really quick! PHEW! We made it! Yeah, about 45 minutes later, we are still sitting there on the same metro. This is the ONLY way any of us knew how to get home and we didn’t understand what the train guy was saying over the loud speaker, so we just stayed on the train along with the rest of the Frenchies. Finally we are moving!!!! One stop. We wait about another 15 minutes before the announcer says something else in French and half the train…
Read MoreI went to Florence, Italy last weekend with 10 other CAI women for a little retreat. It was lots of fun and I got to stay with my friend Mary that lives in the south of France. We had the best room! It was so nice for a European hotel and even had it’s own bathroom! I will keep this short and just tell you the highlights of the trip. 1. David. Yep. That guy is hot! I am not the type of girl to oooh and awww over a man’s body, but come on ladies, it is pretty amazing! The sculpture itself is gorgeous and quite incredible. You can even see veins in his hands. Am I allowed to say it looked like Justin’s body? Mostly from the back. That is probably why I liked it so much! hee hee. 2. Gelato! I ate it the first night…
Read MoreI’m back! Justin and I were in Den Hague (that’s in the Netherlands) for a week of training with our organization (CAI). One of the coolest things ever about CAI is the people we work with! No matter what team, what country, what whatever, we are pretty much guaranteed to love them. We have made some amazing friends from these trainings. We did so many fun things. We watched The Office, went to a movie, went to cool pubs, drank hot chocolate at fun cafes, had allergies from the old convent we stayed in (well, that’s not that much fun). But we had a great time! And yes, we did stay at a convent. Yes, there were nuns there. Yes, there was a super freaky poster of Jesus the size of the wall. Yes, there was also a scary statue of Mary holding Jesus that literally made me jump every…
