A New Look and Good Friends
That’s right. I have a new look. Justin spent part of his day making my blog look more sophisticated and not so teeny bopper. Now that I am a mother, I need to act like it. Not really. I was just ready for a change.
Anyways, enough of that! I had a great time tonight with our friends who are on vacation from the states! They are long time family friends who we sort of lost touch with for a bit. They mean SO much to me because they are people who were friends with my mom and dad when they were still married. Not many people know my dad (that I know) so it was just sort of cool. Makes me miss my dad!
Pat is one of the people who was here and she just cracked me up!!! Not only was she hysterical (totally reminded me of my good friend Katie Fretland…but a few years older), but she also was so encouraging to me in my spiritual life as well. Sooooo needed right now. The best part about Pat and Sue (the other friend here) is that they are both just about the height of my mom and they held and loved Maisie, which meant so much to me! Pat even sang her little Jesus Loves Me songs just like I know my mom would have. Man, it is hard living so far away from family! Maisie needs her family!!! It was fun to hang out with John and Wally as well! Both such loving and caring men!
We are thankful for all the people that come visit and love us and encourage us in different ways!

I LOVE the new look Jen! You are a beautiful mom! I’m so thankful for Pat and Sue and the fact that they could love on Maisie. I’m sad that you live so far away (you know that, but it bears repeating)and can’t wait until I get to hug you to pieces,and get to know Maisie like a grandma should know her granddaughter. I love you.

I love the new look of your blog! Gosh…mine really IS whiskey tango. How do i get mine to look nice like that?? sheesh. I miss the birds though…as I am sure you know why. I love you Jen, and miss you soooo much! I was thinking about our trip to Disneyland the other day…sigh….
