Paris thoughts from Justin
My freakishly amazing husband wrote a sweet little post on his blog that you should read. He’s back in Paris for a couple days and he talks about walking around our old neighborhood there. I just think he is wonderful. This post touched me, maybe just because it means so much to me, but I would love for you all to read it if you get a chance! Here is the link!

I just think she is so cute in so many ways. The other day we were walking somewhere in the Hague and Maisie was of course not riding in her stroller (which she hates to do), but was walking. For no apparent reason, she walked over to a brick wall and just stood there, as if posing for a photo shoot. It took me FOREVER to get my camera out, but I ended up getting a couple pictures of her by this brick wall before she took off running somewhere else! I am really having so much fun with her. Maisie’s always been a frowner. I’m not sure why as she seems content, but now that she is getting older, we can tell her not to frown and she relaxes her face and will smile. It’s pretty funny. She is totally into Elmo and watches the same movie over and…
Read More“Bubba”
That’s how Maisie says BUBBLES. She loves bubbles and is pretty much obsessed with them. If she sees them, she screams, “BUBBA!!!” So the other day I let her put her feet in a sink filled with bubbles. She got pretty soaked, but she had a blast. And of course, here are some pictures.

The other day our little family took a trip to Amsterdam to visit friends. Thankfully, Maisie slept all the way there, but on the way home, we needed to entertain ourselves as it can be a looooong train ride! So we got out the camera and took some pics!

I am seriously wondering why it is that I like to smell things so much. It’s like an obsession. I must smell. It has gotten me in LOTS of trouble with my nose, almost bringing me to a reunion with my previous meal. I smell all sorts of things. Dirty clothes to make sure they are dirty (YUCK!!!). Dishes after I have cleaned them, just to make sure they smell fresh! Today while at a THRIFT STORE (!!!) I was looking at some of the kitchen things and came across a sort of cute pitcher type thing and looked inside to see something crusted in there. What made me think it was a good idea to smell this crust, I do not know. But I stuck my sniffer in there with such passion, only to find it smelled of urine and who knows what else! I had to pull my…

Maisie has been loving to “DAW” lately! Drawing on paper, drawing on the bedding, drawing on the table, drawing on the floor, drawing on a dog. But mostly, she likes to draw on herself. Wherever there is skin showing, there is going to be some ink.

Would you believe that Maisie’s hair is long enough to French Braid!?!? This last week Justin, Maisie, and I packed up our things (once again) and headed over to our friends house to stay with their kids while they went on a little trip. They have a little girl who is almost 12 years old and she asked if I would braid her hair so she could sleep with braids in. So of course I agreed. After finishing her braids, and being pretty happy with my work, I decided to go Little House on the Prairie style with my own daughter. I felt like a true “missionary” braiding Maisie’s little hairs into these little woven braids! haha So anyways, I’ve been French Braiding it up since that day, trying new little versions so as to make her not look so much like she belongs on a farm, working the fields…
