Here is my new haircut people!!!!! (and a couple other cute pix)
And of course a cute Maisie picture! This is her newest favorite thing to do…sucking on and blowing through a little pipe thing while crawling around. And then this next one is of Justin and Maisie’s jam session. They were seriously both playing together. I personally think that is just about the cutest thing ever!!

Hopefully you won’t be seeing any pictures of me with this hairstyle for quite some time… I got a haircut today! If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you know that I have had some mishaps in the hair department. Well, today my good friend Andrea cut my hair. It hadn’t been cut since my last fiasco in Paris and I just have to say that I was so thankful to get rid of that cut! 2 1/2 years in Paris, France and not one good haircut!!! How can this be?!? I lay awake in bed pondering how such a thing could happen in one of the most fashion conscience cities in the world. I just don’t know. But all I do know is that I have a cute haircut once again. I was really beginning to lose hope that I would ever feel cute again.…

Today was one of those days that I l was happy to be in the states again! The reason for this happiness? Having Maisie and her little friend Julia ride together in a shopping cart at Costco.

Maisie has been trying to take a bite out of crime anywhere she can. Yes, it all started while she was nursing. Now it is just out of control. I was noticing that she kept trying to bite my leg while I was on my computer. Then again while I was putting her to sleep. I thought they were innocent little nibbles, but now I am beginning to think she is trying to communicate something to me. Is she mad? Does she need more attention? Is she bored? Maybe all of the above. I don’t know. I tried to say a firm, “NO”, but she just looked at me like, “Is that all you got?” Then I tried pushing in on the side of her cheek to release the little grip her four teeth had on my flesh, but that was also a joke. She just stops and goes back…

I know this is probably so ridiculous, but I was so excited to be in the states for Maisie’s first Halloween, or rather, my first Halloween with a child! On Sunday we went to a Trunk or Treat at Adventure Church. Here are a couple pictures from that! And by the way, it was so hot Maisie couldn’t even wear her costume unless we were in the air conditioned building! Maisie is going for a walk! My pretty little sister Kylie, all dressed up for Halloween! On Halloween night, we went to our friends’ house to celebrate with a bunch of people! It was so fun! Maisie got a lot of candy (which unfortunately, is going straight to my belly and thighs)! Maisie was a chicken, but here she is in her little tie-dye onesie! On a side note….Maisie spilled water on herself and it also tie-dyed her poor little…

We are now in Sacramento, California. I have been non-existent in my writing, which I feel a bit bad about, but we have just had so much on our minds! We are in the midst of really big decisions and we haven’t come to any conclusions, so it is hard for me to write when I just have no clue as to what is going on!!! So here are some pictures from our trip in Portland! Maisie’s favorite yoga pose. Maisie loves to do this with her lips and it looks so ridiculous!!! Almost all of my siblings! These are all my dad’s children (except Maisie in the sling is his grandchild). From left to right: Amy, Carley, Eric, me! Maisie’s great grandpa (my grandpa) has always been so playful and fun! Even at 89 he is so much fun!! Maisie loved him! Maisie with her great grandparents (grandma and…
Read MoreHome Sweet Home
(I think I should preface this post by stating that I started my period yeseterday. Yuck. I hadn’t had one for over 19 months and all of a sudden…. I am a woman again… emotional and all.) Home is such a weird word. What does it really mean? Is it really “where the heart is” or is it something else? When I lived in Paris I would refer to home as my apartment or back in the states with family. Now that I am in the states, I am missing my home in Paris I am not only referring to my little apartment (although I do think that is part of it), but more to the streets I would walk everyday on my way to meet a friend or get a baguette or buy groceries. I am referring to the walking down the metro steps to catch a metro to…
