Baby is here!

I am alive!  I know it seems as though I fell off the face of the earth, but I haven’t.  I have just had a child.  That’s all!  So as you have probably heard, Maisie Rae arrived on December 3rd!  She was bigger than expected at 7.98 pounds and 20.47 inches long!  She is a mini Justin and is the most precious thing I have ever seen.

The birth was…interesting.  Yes, painful.  I had an epidural (the kind that they re-administer every time it begins to wear off).  You can also walk around with the epidural I had.  I could feel a bit of the contractions, but I could feel the pressure of Maisie wanting to join the world even more!  It was quite painful, but an amazing experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything.   Maisie was wide awake and ready to explore the world right when she came out.

Maisie is an amazing baby.  She loves to cuddle and rarely cries unless she is hungry or wants a bit of attention.  She is already sleeping six hours straight at night (most nights) and will feed and go back to bed for another few hours.  We are loving that!  Check out Justin’s blog for pictures.  I need to get some on my computer still.

Have to go tend to the baby!  Not much time to do things for myself these days!  But I don’t care, because she is definitely worth it!
