more maisie info…

I love Maisie more and more everyday.  She is doing all sorts of fun new things.  She LOVES to lay on her play mat and swat the toys above her.  She squeals and carries on little conversations with them.  It is hilarious!  She also loves to eat her hands.  She tries to stuff her whole fist in her mouth.  Justin swears she rolled over and I sort of believe him because she did hit her head (from rolling over from her tummy to her back), but I sort of think Justin secretly helped her a bit.  She also loves to stand.  She is so alert and wants to be watching the world around her.  When laying on her back she struggles to sit up.  I think she is going to be a busy one and I will definitely have to work hard to keep up with her. 

Maisie had an appointment with the doctor last week.  I had been worried that she had a teeny head.  I had gone to school with a guy that had the littlest head I have ever seen.  No joke, it looked similar to the guy from Beetlejuice.  Seriously.  So anyways, I asked the doctor to check it because compared to all Maisie’s friends that are near the same age, Maisie’s head is soooooooo much smaller!  But don’t worry, it is in the 50th percentile.  Speaking of percentiles, she is in the 95th for height.  Justin says when I nurse her in public, I look like I am nursing a toddler.  No offense, but ew.  When I nurse her in bed, she kicks Justin!  She is soooooooo long!  And as far as her percentile in weight, she is in the mere 25th.  Poor little thing.  She better not be following in my footsteps of feeling like she is fat.  I try to tell her anorexia is not the way to go about things.  I have increased the length of time in her feedings and she is totally doing great.  Hopefully she will be the next chubby chubbertin in the family!
