Three Yucky Confessions

I don’t really know why I feel like it is necessary to expose things about me to the world that are gross and embarrassing.  I think the biggest reason may be because we all deal with crap and I am sick of the fact that people (including me) think we have to hide it and act like we are all perfect or whatever.  Wouldn’t life be a lot easier if we were all just a bit more honest with each other and ourselves?  Anyways, on with the confessions!!!!

1. I like to blow my nose in the shower.  I have been meaning to write about this on my blog for some time now.  It is absolutely disgusting and I realize that.  But it needs to be said.  I honestly believe everyone should blow their nose in the shower, especially if you have allergies like me!  There are so many benefits!  It doesn’t waste paper!  It doesn’t rub your nose raw from all the tissues!  It comes out a lot better in the shower for some reason.  Amy Ginther does it too!  Ha ha!  Sorry Amy!!!  I am sure there are more reasons, but those are my favorite ones!

2.  I have rotten teeth.  A long time ago I wrote about when I broke my tooth in the end of my pregnancy and I wouldn’t dare go to a dentist in France.  Well, that tooth is still broken and I am sure that I have a million other teeth ready to be broken and swallowed, just like the last.  Poor me and my teeth.

3.  I still haven’t gone to my “six week check up” after having Maisie.  Oops.  Don’t worry people, all is well!  I can tell!

Cha cha cha!!!!!!!

Okay seriously!?!? I am now your “gross & quirky” friend! Too funny! Thanks for the little shout out. You could have also written…
    2) I have rotten teeth, but my friend Amy Ginther, who also blows her nose in the shower, is gonna hook me up with one sweet dentist, her “good looking old man.”

Oh, and you look so dang cute in that picture! What a sassy little smirk! Love you!!!

I blow my nose in the shower too! I think its the steam that makes it come out better. I feel so good to get that out in the open. My husband doesn’t even know about this! When he is in the bathroom or shower with me, I am always alittle disapointed that I have to skip one of my favorite little shower rituals 🙂

hi- I’ve been reading your blog for a short while no, and enjoy your stories. Maisie is very cute! about this particular entry:
I confess to the same 3 things!
-1: doesn’t everybody? (blow their nose in the shower). It is very practical, indeed.
-2:my teeth may or may not be rotting. I have no idea, considering I haven’t gone to the dentist in about two years (shameful, yes!). I am convinced I have several cavities, and should have it checked on, but have lacked the motivation to actually go.
-3: I gave birth to my daughter almost 11 weeks ago, and haven’t bothered to get checked up on after that first post-partum week. I’m lazy (and, thus, pretty gross) with regard to all things medical.

it can’t be that bad: I’ve never had any major health-problems.

I am cracking up at how many women have responded to this post Jen. Oh my gosh! You’re commenting on all the things that women never have the nerve to admit, (yes, even your mom), let alone write about. I don’t know if I should be proud of you…or just shake my head in bewilderment and pretend I don’t know what you’re talking about! I love you…shower nose blower and all.
