Bagels and Beans

As some of you may know, we are staying in the apartment where our organization has it’s offices in The Hague. We really like The Hague for several reasons. We have done training here before and had a blast in the city with some of our good friends. It is also a really relaxed and clean city. At least compared to Amsterdam! I am especially enjoying our time here as we have our own little apartment that we are staying in! It is the best living conditions we have lived in since leaving Paris! Lots of big bright windows, privacy, a balcony (!!!), and it is in Europe! You can’t beat that! 🙂

So anyways, the other day Justin, Maisie, and I went out to a fun little coffee shop called Bagels and Beans because they have wireless internet. It is on the middle floor of a huge bookstore. They have fun little foods and fresh squeezed juices. I totally thought of my sister Amy and how she would love this place! Anyways, I took a few pictures! Amy, just look at these pictures and pretend you are there with me! 🙁 Maybe one day!!!

Justin and Maisie enjoying a latte and a water! The bookstore is in sort of an indoor mall and we were overlooking the people walking around.

CHEESE!!! This is the smile Maisie gives us when we ask her to smile. She doesn't have an under bite except when she gives her fake smile!

We asked Maisie to make some funny faces and this is the first one she did!

Blaaaaah! The half shut eyes were an accident, but I was so happy to have this ridiculous picture of goo goo.

So I kept asking Maisie to smile for our little picture, but this is the face she did in every single one! Oh well!

"Hi"

Yeah, we are really enjoying the community we have here in Den Hague.  We have been having a blast hanging out with people who we normally don’t see throughout the year, except at staff conference!

I felt like Justin was really waving to me! dumb. That looks like a very cool place. Your mom would enjoy it too, Yen. Maisie’s ‘faces’ made me think of Avery…those are exactly the kind of silly faces she would have made! So glad you’re enjoying your time…Your sweet little family just belongs in Europe…yep, far away from your mom. Love you!

I dont’ appreciate mom’s comment about how your family belongs in Europe. You belong near me darn it!!! Wherever that may be.

Those pictures are awesome. It’s so interesting to see Maisie’s little personality develop and grow from being this little “furrowed brow princess on the metro” to a little fun, sweet, outgoing little girl. These pictures made me just stare and wish I was a bigger part of her life. sigh….

Maybe we could do the girls’ b-days together? A princess birthday at Disneyland?? Just an idea. 🙂
