Going on Vacation!

We are leaving for Barcelona in a few minutes!!! I am so excited! I am planning on spending lots of time at the beach (which I cannot wait for)! We aren’t bringing a computer so I won’t be posting till the 1st. Check back then for lots of new Barcelona pictures!

Amsterdam was so much fun!

We had an absolutely WONDERFUL time in Amsterdam! It was so fun just hanging out at the Graf house! Maisie had a GREAT time as well. She loved all the kids in the family and was very content to not even see either me or Justin (unless she wanted to eat). I really didn’t even need to bring her stroller because everyone just sort of took turns holding her. It was very sweet. This is a picture of all of us hanging out in the guest room (where we slept). Maisie was having a blast playing with the boys! We took this picture right before we left in their backyard. top row: Laina, London, Chelsea, Phil, Sydney bottom row: Kelton, and superhero Branson. In short, the trip was a great time of talking about our future and dreaming together of what that could look like!

Another day in Amsterdam

I just love the canals in Amsterdam! I love the little cafés along the canals! Everyone talks about the cafés in Paris, but I think the ones in Amsterdam are just as great, if not better! I love their warm drinks! Yum! Here are a couple typical pictures of the canals. In the second picture you can see a little café right on the water! I also have to say that I love the buildings. They are all so different, so much different looking than Parisian buildings. I Meet Laina! I have talked a lot about Laina, but not so much on my blog. Anyways, we love her and Phil and their children. Speaking of children…here is Maisie with their oldest daughter Chelsea.

Maisie’s first real train ride

So I ended up sleeping about ten minutes last night. For some reason I never am able to sleep the night before we are going to travel. It didn’t really help that I started packing at 1am and needed to wake up at 4:30am. EW! I ended up finally just getting out of bed at 4:20am for the day! EW!!!! I hate not getting sleep! The train ride was long. Well, four hours to Amsterdam. Maisie did amazing. Never cried. Just let me know when she was hungry or wanted a diaper change. She was tired as well since she is used to sleeping in along with me, so she was passed out on my chest for a good portion of the ride. I even slept for about thirty minutes! Goodbye Powell’s, Hello Amsterdam!

We said goodbye to Justin’s parents today. They were here for three lovely days. We had a great time with them just hanging out at the apartment and walking around Paris a bit. This is a picture at our favorite neighborhood café…Place Verte. We had our last meal of their visit there. Side note: did you notice how Justin and his mom look exactly alike with their little matching glasses (click on picture to enlarge)??? How precious. Justin, Maisie, and I leave for Amsterdam tomorrow in the VERY early morning…even before Maisie’s first wake up time! Pray that we wake up on time and make the train! It pulls away at 6:50am!!!!! YUCK AND A HALF!!!! We are going to be staying with some of our friends…the Graf’s. They are an amazing family! We will be visiting Amsterdam to get a better idea of what the future holds for us. …

My Computer is Allergic to Karen!

I just need to say that I put all these new pictures on my blog of our Prague vacation and for some reason, when they downloaded they didn’t include ANY of the pictures of our friend Karen. It took me FOREVER to put this album together, and I don’t know how to put new pictures on that album and I am not going to attempt it either! Sorry Karen! My computer must be allergic to you! But Justin has successfully downloaded pictures of the trip, so check it out

Weekend outside of Paris

This last weekend we were able to get out of the city! It had been a LONG time (seven months) since we had been outside of Paris (not counting Versailles). Maisie hadn’t even smelled fresh air or heard birds singing until this last weekend! She has only had exhaust blown in her face by the big buses or heard pigeons (aka: flying rats) making their little mating noises. Ew. Poor little city baby. We had the most relaxing weekend in the sunny warm weather! Read about it on Justin’s blog here! He also posted pictures of the weekend on the right hand side of his blog! Look away!
