Nobody Knows Her.

Today I am feeling a bit sad that most all of our friends and family have never met Maisie.  She is such a part of who we are now and it is strange to think that some of the people we love the most have either never met her, or only seen her for a week or two.  This is the part of living so far away that I really don’t like.  But what can we do about it?  Nothing I guess, except post pictures and videos and hope that you get to know her a bit through that.  She is such a delight and adds so much more joy to our lives!  We wish you could be a part of her life and love her and smother her the way you would if we all lived close!  …..Just some “I miss home” thoughts for today….

    Okay seriously…this post made me all teary. I want to smell my little girl. I want to nuzzle her and give her grandma kisses. I want to see her personality emerge, and watch her giggle in delight. I, I, I. I sound so selfish…sigh.

    I know Jen….after I wrote and posted it…I realized it is not selfish at all for me to want to love on granddaughter and know her. It was the misery and pain (and a wee bit of drama 🙂 creeping in.

    I wish I could see the whole Powell family more. And although we don’t get to see Maisie and play with her, we do love her VERY much.

    sniff…sniff. No likey. I hate that I don’t know her. It is wierd to me that you have a child. I want to love her and kiss her and call her George. In that picture, her eyes look exactly like yours. No small PD for Crazers!

    I feel like I know her though! The way you talk about her and share stories about her I feel like I already know and love her so much. I was just telling Kaite the ither day how its weird that I love Maisie so much and I have never even met her…
