Rock Star Birthday!!!
It is Maisie’s birthday today and I can’t believe how “woman” I can be sometimes. I got emotional at her party yesterday when we sang her Happy Birthday. Then sitting in Starbucks today, listening to sad music, I started to get teary again. I just can’t believe how amazing this last year has been. It has flown by! I am so thankful for my little Maisie!
So her party…. We had a great time! It was “Rock Star” themed as you can see in the above invitation! It really should have been punk rock, but whatever. Sort of the same, right? We had a few friends over. The kids made fruit loop necklaces (all my mom’s idea there) and we just sort of hung out. It was so fun to be with friends! Maisie had a blast! The only stinky thing was that she was sick. She was pretty chill the whole time, even without naps or anything healthy to eat all day. I guess the fruitloops and cupcakes gave her enough energy to make it through the day. She had a pink mohawk, nose ring, and about four piercings in her ears. She looked awesome. Everyone kept commenting on how the pink mohawk was actually a good look for her. I agree! I think I will style her hair like that every once in a while.

Bandna and Maisers! Maisie absolutely LOVES Bandna! She is loud and crazy and I think that is why! Plus Bandna loves Maisie so much and calls her TURKEY!!! Everybody loves to be called Turkey!
My mom was in charge of the rock star fruit loop necklaces. Are fruit loops rock star??? They were at this party!
Oh yeah, she’s awesome.

Oh my goodness only Maisie has a punk rock 1st birthday! I LOVE IT!!! And are those skull leg warmers she is sporting?? Those are some great pictures, and yes, Maisie can totally pull of the pink mohawk. You guys are awesome, can’t wait to see you next week!?!?!
OOOOH!!! NOW THIS KIND OF STUFF IS THE REASON WE NEED TO LIVE NEAR EACHOTHER…Forget all the other logistics. I MUST be near my neice! ANd the kids miss her so much! Avery put together a little care package the other day for Maisie, by herself. She put in old toys she didn’t want. She talks about Maisie all the time and actually screamed at Ethan for “touching” the care package. “IT IS FOR BABY MAISIE!!!” she screamed. The cousins need to be together. the end.
Ah yes, the party I was not invited to. Nice 😉
