Play by Play of Barcelona
We had a GREAT time in Barcelona! We stayed a few nights and didn’t waste a minute of our time! The first day we got in a huge fight (before we even left for the airport), and then were in a funk for the first hour or so when we arrived. Yuck. I hate arguing! But thank goodness we always talk things out and we were able to get over it right after a little talk! We had lunch in a little square that Justin really likes (and it happened to be pretty close to where we were staying). Maisie had a blast playing in the fountain (that we later found out was the toilet for “ducks” or pigeons). EW! We then walked around a lot of the city and had dinner at an AMAZING tapas place. That was the day of the Powell family. The next day we met…

Ok, I know Justin has been meaning to write about this, and I hate to steal the topic of his blog post, but too bad because i need to share about my experience as well! Today we had my bike fixed and a baby seat put on it! YAY! Justin and I decided that since it was such a nice sunny day out, that we would take our bikes for a spin! Well, sunny could mean rain within minutes if you are talking Amsterdam weather. Oh yeah. So basically, it starting POURING! Thank the Lord that I had bought a little rain poncho thing for Maisie the day before for a time just like this! I must admit a few things from my past before I continue. I’ve never really been great at riding bikes. It all started back when I was around four years old and got my leg/foot…
Read MoreFun Day Out
Justin and I had a really fun day out in Amsterdam yesterday! We needed to talk about some things for the future and really just needed some time together, so we just walked across Amsterdam and had a blast together! Here are a couple pictures from our little outing!
Read MoreFun at the Beach!
Justin also wrote about our time at the beach on his blog, but I am giving you pictures!! We had a ton of fun! I’ve said it before, but we are having so much fun getting to know the people of CAI a bit better! Almost every night in the Hague has been spent with friends!! So we went to the beach last night because countries were competing against each other in fireworks shows. The first show was pretty pathetic, but the second one was great!! Maisie fell asleep for that one of course, but oh well! Here is our journey of the beach trip! Click on picture to enlarge!! Waiting at the bus stop! A good time for a photo shoot! These are some of Maisie’s favorite people in the Hague! Katie (in the blue sweatshirt) is AMAZING with kids! She is such a good little babysitter! Jeanie (in…

I know I have been posting a lot and hopefully you like it and aren’t too overwhelmed with my sudden love of posting on my blog again. Anyways, PLEASE read this post Justin just added to his blog. It is so good and exactly what people need to know! Please read it for me! For you! For the world! It is worth the few seconds. And watch the video! These are things we NEED to not only read about, but live out.
Read MoreBagels and Beans
As some of you may know, we are staying in the apartment where our organization has it’s offices in The Hague. We really like The Hague for several reasons. We have done training here before and had a blast in the city with some of our good friends. It is also a really relaxed and clean city. At least compared to Amsterdam! I am especially enjoying our time here as we have our own little apartment that we are staying in! It is the best living conditions we have lived in since leaving Paris! Lots of big bright windows, privacy, a balcony (!!!), and it is in Europe! You can’t beat that! 🙂 So anyways, the other day Justin, Maisie, and I went out to a fun little coffee shop called Bagels and Beans because they have wireless internet. It is on the middle floor of a huge bookstore. They…
Read MoreSeven Years of Marriage
We just celebrated seven years of marriage on the tenth! Seven wonderful, hellish, glorious, miserable, amazing, beautiful years of marriage! I think it is a bit ridiculous to say that all seven years for every second of our marriage have been good, so I won’t say it. But I don’t regret one second of our marriage. Sure, I wish we would have done things differently at times. But honestly, it was all part of the process of growing and getting to know one another better. I definitely like who I am as a wife better today than in our first year of marriage! Oh man. The drama I put my poor herd bird through! I hurt his self esteem in ways I won’t explain on my blog. I didn’t trust him. I thought that I had men issues with everyone except my husband, but I was naïve to think that…
